Why work with PaedsPhysio?

We understand the distinct demands of working within litigation. Our team is familiar with the requirements of multi-disciplinary case management and the importance of clear, timely communication with all parties involved. We have robust processes in place to support not only the child’s rehabilitation journey, but also the wider needs of families, case managers, and legal professionals.

Specialist, aspirational children’s physiotherapy can be difficult to access, particularly for children with highly complex presentations. Without the right guidance, rehabilitation can lose momentum, and families can feel overwhelmed in what is often a challenging journey. Our therapists are skilled in building rapport with children and their families, ensuring that rehabilitation remains focused, goal-oriented, and achievable. We work closely with case managers to ensure consistency, clarity, and measurable progress throughout the litigation timeline.

how we work

Collaborative, structured approach

We offer a clear, structured process from the moment of instruction, including a thorough initial assessment, comprehensive needs report, individualised rehabilitation programmes and a focus on interdisciplinary goal setting and communication. Collaboration with families, case managers, solicitors, and the wider clinical team is key to our approach and is vital to ensure that our intervention aligns with the child’s evolving needs and the wider litigation timeline. We offer both in-person and remote services depending on the child’s location and needs.

PaedsPhysio accepts instructions to perform Initial Needs Assessments for children with ongoing litigation or following settlement of their case. We recognise the importance of finding the right therapist for a particular child and will discuss their situation before making a recommendation of the most suitable member of the team to assist their rehabilitation. PaedsPhysio offers ‘meet and greet’ appointments by video, without charge, to ensure that our Paediatric Physiotherapist is a good fit for the family, and to start the process of building an effective therapeutic relationship.
Our team meets high standards of professional conformance, and we can confirm compliance with article 28 of the GDPR, that our therapists have recent DBS checks, have completed mandatory training, and maintain professional indemnity/liability insurance. PaedsPhysio will provide an accurate quote for consultations, a CV for the treating clinician, and complete a professional conformance declaration prior to arranging an initial needs assessment.
At PaedsPhysio, we believe in identifying the rehabilitation needs of our clients and setting realistic goals for interventions. Our expert Children’s Physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment and provide you with a comprehensive report outlining their rehabilitation treatment plan. This report will include objective measurements along with goal planning, and associated costs. If we find that there’s a need for additional equipment, we will recommend the best course of action, whether it’s a trial or purchase and provide a rationale. Our aim is to help the child and their support team to achieve their rehabilitation goals as efficiently as possible.
PeadsPhysio understands that effective rehabilitation is more than just clinical work. Our unique and individualized rehabilitation programmes aim to produce lasting, meaningful results. With a focus on imagination and fun, we provide our services in the comfort of the child’s home and within the community, including education settings, where appropriate, to ensure that progress translates into their real-world activities and supports the family.
As part of our children’s physiotherapy programmes, we assess risks and provide care instructions for home practice. Our team works with parents, caregivers and support workers to provide training in rehabilitation techniques and interventions, which they can fully integrate into a child’s regimen. At PaedsPhysio, we’re highly experienced at working within multidisciplinary teams, using effective communication strategies to ensure a team approach.
PaedsPhysio upholds exceptional standards of record keeping, including media recording to facilitate prompt responses to any record inquiries. We offer frequent progress reports based on the agreed SMART goals and can attend team meetings remotely or in person as necessary. We take a compassionate approach to help children to achieve optimal physical health and well-being.
