Recovering from an orthopaedic injury or surgery can be physically and emotionally challenging for children and their families

Whether it’s a broken bone, a joint injury, or post-surgical rehabilitation, we provide effective physiotherapy for children that restores movement, builds strength, and rebuilds confidence. Children recovering from orthopaedic or trauma-related injuries may experience pain, stiffness, reduced strength, altered movement patterns, or a loss of confidence. Our team works closely with families to address these issues, restoring function and helping children return to the activities they enjoy most.

  • Reduce pain and inflammation – through gentle, progressive movement and hands-on techniques.
  • Restore movement and joint mobility – helping to improve flexibility and address stiffness after casting, splinting, or surgery.
  • Rebuild strength and stability – using age-appropriate, fun exercises to support muscle development and prevent re-injury.
  • Support safe return to learning, physical activity and sport – ensuring your child is confident and physically ready to get back to doing what they love.
  • Improve posture, gait, and body mechanics – particularly after prolonged immobilisation or lower limb injuries.
  • Boost confidence and independence – helping your child feel safe, strong, and in control of their recovery.
We work with children of all ages and at every stage of recovery, from toddlers learning to walk again after a fracture, to active teens returning to sport following surgery or injury. Whether your child is recovering from a broken bone, adjusting after orthopaedic surgery, or regaining strength and mobility after time in a cast, our friendly and experienced team is here to guide their rehabilitation journey with expert guidance and a personal touch.
