Hi, I’m Emma, Clinical Lead Children’s Physiotherapist at PaedsPhysio, the children’s physiotherapy arm of Physio4You. I am a highly specialist paediatric physiotherapist with over 27 years’ experience working with babies, children and teenagers in both acute and community settings, within London and surrounding counties.
I’m passionate about helping children of all ages to move, play, and reach their full potential. My experience includes supporting children’s physical wellbeing in all environments, including their home, mainstream and specialist provision schools and nurseries and in clinic settings, working alongside other key members of the multidisciplinary team.
Throughout my career, I’ve helped children from birth to young adulthood with a wide range of challenges, whether it’s neurological or neuromuscular conditions, orthopaedic or rheumatological issues, developmental delays, or coordination difficulties. I’ve also worked with children recovering from traumatic injuries and understand how life-changing this can be for both them and their families, through my professional role and also from a personal perspective. My job is to make therapy engaging, effective, and tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Above all, I believe in making physiotherapy fun, family-focused, and as individual as each child. I am empathic and offer a flexible approach, adapting my intervention and doing my utmost to build self-confidence, independence and participation to maximise each child’s outcomes.
I am based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire and cover Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North London. Outside of work, I have a love of the great outdoors, walking my dog, baking and playing in a brass band.
