PaedsPhysio provides specialist children’s physiotherapy in Cambridgeshire, covering Cambridge and the surrounding area. We see babies, children and young people in their own homes, at nursery and in school, working alongside the adults who support them every day.
We work in your child’s own surroundings, at home, at nursery or in school. Children behave differently in clinics, and what we learn from watching them in a familiar place is far more representative of their day to day.

We start with a full paediatric assessment, examining how your child moves and holds themselves, their strength and balance, and where the practical difficulties are. We then work out the goals with you and your child before putting together a treatment programme that fits. We set goals that mean something outside a clinic, like sitting steadily at a table, keeping up in PE, or managing the walk to the school gate.
We provide neurological physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy, brain injury, spinal cord injury, spina bifida and peripheral nerve injuries including Erb’s palsy.
Our surgical and orthopaedic physiotherapy is for children who have had trauma and fractures, physiotherapy following selective dorsal rhizotomy, recovery following surgery, and amputee rehabilitation.
For children with neuromuscular conditions, we support muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy and juvenile myasthenia gravis. Our genetic conditions service works with Down’s syndrome and Rett syndrome.
Not every child we see has a label attached. We regularly work with developmental delay and coordination difficulties, together with the wider children’s physiotherapy conditions such as hypermobility, plagiocephaly, torticollis, Perthes disease and positional talipes.
Where a family, school or legal team needs something in writing, we provide physiotherapy reports recording what we assessed and what should happen next. We also offer training and consultancy for staff teams across Cambridgeshire who work with a child regularly and want proper guidance rather than guesswork.
