PaedsPhysio provides children’s physiotherapy across London. Getting a child with physical difficulties to a hospital appointment in the capital can take most of a day, and often costs more in fatigue than the session gives back. We work the other way round, coming to your home, your child’s nursery or their school.
Your child is treated in the places that matter to them, whether that is at home, in a classroom or in a playground. It removes the stress of travelling and gives us a much clearer view of where the real difficulties sit.
It means the people who spend the most time with your child understand the plan. That is usually the difference between a programme that works and one that quietly stops. Our who we help page explains the families and professionals we work with.
We start with a full paediatric assessment, looking at the whole picture, from movement quality and strength through to how your child copes with their day. From there we agree what to aim for and put together a treatment programme to suit. Goals are grounded in daily life rather than clinical measures, whether that is dressing independently, joining in games, or coping with a full timetable.
Within our neurological physiotherapy, we treat children with cerebral palsy, brain injury, spinal cord injury, spina bifida and peripheral nerve injuries including Erb’s palsy.
Our surgical and orthopaedic physiotherapy works with children following trauma and fractures, support following selective dorsal rhizotomy, support during recovery from surgery, and amputee rehabilitation.
Children with neuromuscular conditions such as muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy and juvenile myasthenia gravis. Our genetic conditions service includes children with Down’s syndrome and Rett syndrome.
Many families come to us before any diagnosis exists. That includes developmental delay and coordination difficulties, as well as broader children’s physiotherapy issues such as hypermobility, plagiocephaly, torticollis, Perthes disease and positional talipes.
Where a family, school or legal team needs something in writing, we provide physiotherapy reports presenting the assessment findings and our recommendations clearly. We also offer training and consultancy for school and care teams throughout London who want practical training rather than a handout.
We are instructed by case managers for children across London, from acute injury through to long term condition management. Our case managers page explains instructions, assessment and how we report progress.
We take enquiries from across London rather than restricting ourselves to particular boroughs. Send us your postcode and we will confirm cover and availability.
